Karen Miles is an expert on the impact of motherhood on women's identity and career. Karen works with individuals making the transition to motherhood and companies that are committed to retaining and supporting women in their transition to motherhood and their successful return to work.

Karen is also thoroughly fascinated by what makes successful people tick - from the famous to the everyday achiever. Talking about the stuff that matters, Karen has a natural ability to interview and facilitate great conversations that leave us inspired and entertained. Karen is currently
co-host and presenter on Room to Grow - a parenting TV show.

Karen brings to this role deep experience in education, communication, and journalism, all focused on bringing out the best in people.

Clients engage Karen's services in a number of ways: as a conference or seminar speaker; in workshop design, training and facilitation; individual coaching; and through the products she has authored -'The Working Parents Toolkit' and 'The Real Baby Book you need at 3am'.

Karen's Dymocks bestseller, ‘Career Advice you wish your mum had told you’ provides inspiring and genuine career advice for young women. The book was launched by David Morgan, CEO Westpac Banking Corporation with a foreword provided by Australian entrepreneur Natalie Bloom of Bloom Cosmetics.

With a 15+ year career in journalism as both in-house and freelance Editor / Writer, from women’s magazines to business publications, Karen's work focuses on inspiration, education, business, and lifestyle issues. Sample clients include Instyle, Good Medicine, Practical Parenting, New Woman, Cosmopolitan, and The Sunday Telegraph. Karen is a regular media commentator and is the founding publisher/editor of FRANK magazine – an ad-diet-model free magazine for young women.

As a former Director of The FRANK Team, Karen impacted thousands of people Australia-wide and internationally through her educational programs. These focused on career skills development and entrepreneurship for young professionals, Gen X and Y, and the youth market. Her clients included the Australian Government's Department of Education, Science & Training; Department of Tourism, Industry & Resources; Westpac; Commonwealth Bank Foundation; NSW Parliament; Department of Family, Community Services & Indigenous Affairs; Australian High Schools and Universities; and Australian Local Councils.

Karen has a Bachelor of Business Degree, runs a second (design) business for stylish, time-savvy mums www.missscarlett.com.au and is the overly proud mother of her four-year-old son, Harrison and baby girl, Scarlett.
